Thursday, July 6, 2023 was a remarkable day for Imo State’s Number Four Citizen, Rt. Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu as he celebrated his birthday anniversary in Owerri, the state capital where he sits as Deputy Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly.
In Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, a group of businessmen and professionals took to the prestigious Prestige Garden Resort, Obio, Port Harcourt where they held a special dinner to felicitate with the youthful lawmaker on his birthday.
Under the aegis of Frontline Committee of Friends (FCF), the association’s objective is to advance the wellbeing of Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, using their God given resources.
True to the group’s tradition, the heartwarming event drew a significant crowd, including community members, associates, and well-wishers who gathered not just to celebrate the joyous occasion of Amarachi’s birthday, but, according to FCF’s National Coordinator, Nze Marius Egbujor, but also to honor the memory of his father, the ‘Ugo Chinyere of Dim Na Nume Isu, Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu who slept in the Lord in 2018.
Egbujor said the group cannot discuss Amarachi without fond memories of his dad whom he described as a rare philanthropist who left behind a legacy that continues to inspire many.
The gathering offered an opportunity for those present to reminisce about the late chief’s remarkable contributions, highlighting his efforts in fostering unity and development in not just Nwangele LGA but Imo State at large.
During the event, several speakers took the stage to share personal anecdotes and tributes, painting a vivid picture of Chyna’s exceptional character. They spoke of his unwavering integrity, his selflessness, and his passion for uplifting others, which touched countless lives and earned him deep respect amongst the people.
A moment of silence was observed in honor of Chyna Iwuanyanwu, allowing everyone to reflect on his extraordinary life and the void his absence has left in his community. The serene atmosphere was soon uplifted by joyful music and laughter, as the celebration shifted focus to the present and future, embracing the spirit of hope and togetherness that the late Ugo Chinyere so ardently advocated.
The event concluded with a heartfelt prayer, in which the group beseeched the heavens to bless Rt. Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu and grant him wisdom, strength, and the ability to serve Imo State and above all, emulate the noble qualities of his late father.
As the dinner progressed, Nze Egbujor spoke glowingly of the celebrant: “We gather here today to honor not only the passing of another year for our brother, the Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, but to pay tribute to an extraordinary individual who carries the torch of his father’s legacy with grace and strength.
“Amarachi is a name that resonates with honor and integrity, stands as a testament to the indelible mark left by his late father, Chyna Iwuanyanwu. As we reflect upon the remarkable life of the birthday celebrant, we are reminded of the qualities that made his father such an esteemed figure in our community.
“The Hon. Deputy Speaker, much like his father, exudes warmth and compassion that effortlessly touches the hearts of those around him. His genuine kindness and selflessness have been witnessed time and time again, as he continues to uplift those in need and support various charitable initiatives, just as his father did”.
Another speaker, Mr. Ibezim Nwosu lauded what he said is Amarachi’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of others, adding that the lawmaker has not only inherited the philanthropic spirit of Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu but has also expanded upon it, forging his own path of compassionate service.
“He has shown us that true greatness lies in the ability to make a positive impact in the lives of others, even amidst personal milestones and celebrations. Beyond his benevolence, Amarachi possesses a remarkable strength of character. He carries himself with humility and grace, demonstrating the values instilled in him by his father. It is evident that he values family, community, and unity, fostering a spirit of togetherness that resonates with all who know him”, Nwosu said.
