The conferment of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) on governor Siminalayi Fubara by the Pamo University of Medical Sciences (PUMS) has continued to elicit reactions from the wide spectrum of society.
The bestowment of Doctorate on Governor Fubara took place on Friday during the 4th Convocation ceremony of PUMS, the first privately owned medical university in Nigeria.
Reacting on the development, the lawmaker representing Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rep. Awaji-Inombek Abiante described the prestigious award as a celebration of Fubara’s significant contributions to healthcare and governance in the region.
“This prestigious recognition is a testament to your dedication and remarkable contributions to Rivers State and humanity,” Abiante stated.
Abiante highlighted Fubara’s leadership as a source of inspiration, noting that the governor’s efforts have had a lasting positive impact on the state’s healthcare initiatives and governance practices.
“Your leadership continues to inspire us all, and this honor reflects the positive impact you have made in enhancing healthcare and entrenching good governance,” he added.
The honorary doctorate not only celebrates Fubara’s past achievements but also serves as motivation for him to continue striving for excellence in his service to the people of Rivers State.
“May this achievement further motivate you to pursue excellence in your service to the people,” concluded Abiante.
The ceremony, which was held at the Prof Abubakar A. Rasheed Auditorium of PUMS drew dignitaries and members of the public.
