In a significant boost to his ongoing consultations, a leading chairmanship aspirant for the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Council. Mr Chimuenya Henry Umejuru has received the endorsement of the Eze Ali Usomini Kingdom, Royal Highness, Eze (Dr) A.N Osoh,
The Usomini, who gave the royal blessings to Umejuru while receiving the PDP aspirant at his palace in Omoku at the weekend, expressed his support for Umejuru’s aspiration, citing his philanthropic efforts and exemplary character.
Umejuru, accompanied by his team, had visited the palace to declare his intention to contest the chairmanship position in the October 5 election.
The monarch, acknowledging Umejuru’s family ties to the kingdom, praised his integrity and attitude, declaring him “fit to pilot the affairs of ONELGA.”
The king’s statement read in part: “Winning an election is not by money but by character, attitude, and integrity. Your character is worthy to emulate, and we anticipate your victory at the election poll.”
Umejuru thanked the king for his blessings and support, promising to work tirelessly for the people of ONELGA. The consultation concluded with a benediction from the king and Council of Chiefs.
This endorsement is seen as a significant milestone in Umejuru’s campaign, as he seeks to become the next chairman of ONELGA.
