The Special Adviser on Business Strategy to the Honourable Commissioner of Physical Planning and Urban Development in Rivers State, Mr. Henry Chimuenya Umejuru has tendered his resignation, effective August 1, 2024.
In a letter dated August 1, 2024, and addressed to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Umejuru stated that his decision to resign was made after careful consideration, as he felt it was time to explore new frontiers and challenges to further advance his career.
In the letter, the former Special Adviser expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner and the entire Ministry team for their support, guidance, and camaraderie. He wished the Ministry continued success in their future endeavors, confident that their work would continue to make significant contributions to the development and planning of Rivers State.
This publication obtained Umejuru’s appointment letter dated October 27, 2023, which reportedly took effect October 30, 2023.
In a swift reply to the letter of resignation, the Ministry through the Commissioner’s media aide, Amb Igwe Francis Whyte, commended the former Special Adviser for the valuable time spent with the Ministry and wished him well as he moves to explore new opportunities and challenges.
“We are confident that your skills and experience will serve you well in your future endeavors. Your contributions to the Ministry will not be forgotten, and we are grateful for the relationships you have built during your time here”, Whyte wrote.
During his nine-month tenure with the Honourable Commissioner, Mr. Umejuru played a crucial role in shaping the Ministry’s business strategy, leveraging his expertise to drive growth and development in the state.
His contributions will undoubtedly be missed, but his departure also paves the way for fresh perspectives and talents to emerge.
