In a move set to revolutionize the economic landscape of Idu Ogba community, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LocalGovernmentArea (ONELGA), the HH Foundation has empowered three entrepreneurs and a skilled professional barber, enabling them to take their businesses to the next level.

The Foundation’s latest initiative, which took place on Tuesday, July 15, 2024, aims to foster economic growth, create jobs, and promote sustainable development in Idu-Ogba community.

The Director of HH Foundation, Mr. Chimuenya Henry Umejuru, alongside his executive team, made a surprise charity outreach and presented a Skyrun branded deep freezer each to three entrepreneurs who have been found diligent in their businesses. And tor a professional barber who needed a boost to his salon that is at the brink of collapse, the Foundation’s boss showed human kindness, gifting barbing accesories including two cordless electric clippers, one electric smoother, one electric standing fan, television set, an LG branded split unit airconditioner and other salon kits.

These philanthropic gestures and several others were part of activities unveiling the Foundation to mark the one year anniversary of HH Hotels and Apartments.

Speaking while presenting the items to the beneficiaries, Mr. Umejuru outlined the vision and objective of the Foundation which reflects the clear example of giving back to the society through meaningful outreach, human capacity development and seeking to benefit the most vulnerable, less privileged, needy people in the community.

The youthful Director expressed his commitment to supporting the growth of small and medium-scale businesses in the oil-rich Idu communities.

“This is just the beginning,” he said. “We will continue to identify and empower citizens and hardworking individuals who are striving to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the development of Idu Ogba,” he said

Amongst the beneficiaries was Mrs. Ifeoma Dimkpa Miriam, a widow struggling to sustain her provisions store business after the passing of her beloved husband.

Others were Uche Osiagor and Ezebunwa Oputa, while Nna Ehuike, popularly known as “Mexico,” had his struggling barbing salon revitalized.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Director of the HH Foundation and the HH family for remembering them through the amazing generosity and the life-changing impact it would have on their small businesses and ability to provide for their families.

Some community members present at the event praised Mr. Umejuru and his team for the act of kindness that in no time will bring about great transformation in Idu Ogba Community and also set a standard for others to emulate.

Also present at the event was the President of idu Obosiku Youth Association, Comrade Ejima Ehuike, General Secretary of the Usomini Youth Federation, Comrade Chinedu Osiago and a host of others.

With this timely intervention, the HH Foundation is reaffirming its commitment to unlocking the potential of local talent and driving positive change in Idu Obosiukwu and Idu Osobile communities.
