In a bid to bolster community security efforts, a three-day training and orientation program organized by the National Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) concluded in Idu-Obosiukwu Community of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA)..
The event, which commenced on Wednesday and wrapped up on Friday, gathered officers and personnel of the paramilitary body in the oil-rich community.
Welcoming the group to Idu-Obosiukwu Community after their intensive drills and morning mobilization on Wednesday, the CEO of H.H. Hotels and Apartments, Omoku and Grand Patron of the organization, Mr. Chimuenya Henry Umejuru,expressed satisfaction with the choice of the community for the program, hailing it as a privilege and lauding the collaborative effort with the Civilian JTF.
“It’s a well-thought-out initiative that I believe will steer youths away from crime and towards a positive trajectory,” stated Umejuru, emphasizing his commitment to supporting the group within his means.
Responding, the State Intelligence Officer of the Civilian JTF, Mr. Aicimon Sunday Jnr, outlined the purpose of the program, emphasizing its focus on officer conduct, peace maintenance, surveillance, and other essential skills.
He highlighted the success of the program and its role in fostering awareness about the organization’s activities.
According to the Intels officer, the choice of Idu-Obosiukwu Community for the program was strategic as a significant number of officers hail from the area, reducing logistical challenges and fostering a sense of community involvement.
Gratitude was extended to the youthful Grand Patron, Mr. Chimuenya Henry Umejuru and the community for their support and hospitality, signaling a strengthened partnership in the ongoing mission to enhance local security.
