The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna-Iwuanyanwu, on Saturday joined his House of Assembly colleagues to bid final farewell to late traditional ruler of Nnanano clan in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo state, HRH, Eze Ngozi Anyaehie.

The royal father, who was born in 1947 and passed away in 2023, lived for a total of 76 years during his time on Earth.

The Deputy Speaker, who was in the company of the leader of the delegation and House Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, first attended the church session of the funeral at St. Peter &John Anglican Cathedral of the Divine, Nkwerre, from where they proceeded to the late Eze’s residence, where his remains was laid to rest.

In his condolence message to the bereaved Royal Family, the Deputy Speaker described the late Royal Father as a man of peace, a devoted Christian, a pillar of unity, and a consensus builder, whose impactful contributions during his lifetime remain immeasurable.

He urged the family to always uphold tenaciously the reputable attributes which the Royal Father was known for all through his lifetime, which distinguished him amongst his contemporaries.

In his appreciative remarks, a members of the Royal Family, Hon. Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie who is also Chief of Staff to the State Governor, thanked the august guests for finding time to commiserate with them and prayed for God’s guidance as they return to their respective destinations.

Among other Honourable members, who accompanied the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly to the event are; Hon. Ozioma Worship, member representing Njaba State Constituency, Hon. Innocent Ikpamezie, member representing Mbaitoli, Hon. Uzoma Osuoha, member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Hon. Uche Agabige, member for Orsu, Hon. Chiedozie Gilbert Nwosu, member for Oguta, Hon. Okechukwu Udeze, member for Ideato North, Hon. Bernard Ozoemenam, member for Ehime Mbano, Hon. Kelechi Offurum, member for Owerri North and Hon. Chief Sam Osuji, member for Isiala Mbano state constituency who, on behalf of his other colleagues wrapped up the outing with a warm vote of thanks at the residence of the House member for Nkwerre state constituency, Hon. Chisom Ojukwu, who played host to them during the event.
