The family of late Peter Nwoko Egbukichi Onugha of Umuezealum Idenkume in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State has announced that his burial would hold on Thursday, May 4, 2023 in his hometown.
Onugha who is father-in-law to Port Harcourt based businessman, Mr. Desmond “Omemma” Esowune, died in January, 2023 at the age of 95.
A statement personally signed by Omemma in Port Harcourt on Sunday, said efforts are being put in place to give his nonagenarian father-in-law, a befitting burial.
He described the deceased as a hard-working, sincere and kind-hearted man who nurtured his family in the fear of God.
“He was a great man in every sense and died at a full age. He was very philosophical and let’s you know that there is no shortcut to success. You won’t be tired of his company, always amusing you with jokes and wisdom. I will miss him greatly”, Omemma said.
The burial arrangement as announced by the Onugha family, says a Christian wake keep would hold on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the compound of the deceased who was popularly called “Opi-Igwe” during his life time.
