The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, has congratulated Senator Osita Izunaso of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his victory in last Saturday Nationall Assembly election to represent the people of Orlu Zone at the Senate.
Iwuanyanwu, who represents Nwangele state constituency, said that the victory was a clear indication of the confidence the people of Orlu have in Izunaso’s leadership and his ability to represent their interests at the Senate.
In his congratulatory message, Iwuanyanwu stated that the election was a testament to the resilience of democracy in Nigeria, adding that the people of Orlu Zone had made a wise decision in electing Izunaso as their representative.
He expressed optimism that Izunaso would use his position to bring development and progress not only to the people of Orlu Zone but to Imo State at large.
The Deputy Speaker stated that he looked forward to working with Izunaso towards the advancement of the state and the improvement of the living standards of the people.
He urged the newly elected Senator to use his position to champion the cause of the people and ensure that their voices are heard at the national level.
Iwuanyanwu noted that Izunaso’s victory was a product of hard work, dedication and the support of the people.
He commended the people of Orlu Zone for turning out in large numbers to exercise their civic duty and for conducting themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner throughout the election process.
While urging all stakeholders in the state to work towards the development and progress of I’m State, the lawmaker wished Sen. Izunaso a successful tenure at the Senate and prayed for God’s guidance and protection as he undertakes the task of representing the people of Orlu Zone.
