His Majesty, Eze Oha Evo III, Nyerisi Eli Woji, Eze Gbakagbaka, King Leslie Nyebuchi Eke Jp, has said that the essence of leader was to dish out powers recklessly, rather, to put it to the best benefit of the people.

Eke said this when the Diocesan Bishop of D/ Line Methodist Church Nigeria, Rt. Rev. Dr Friday Gwungama Jephthah Jp, paid a courtesy call on him as part of the 2023 Synod activities of the Church in Woji, last week.

The Woji King, informed his visitors that his responsibilities cut across about 33 Communities on the Kingdom, but was never quick to use the powers attached to his office.

According to him, every good and God fearing leader ought to target peace and harmonious living instead of promoting activities that are capable of dividing the people.

To the Bishop and his entourage, he reassured them of his firm faith in the Lord which he said can never be under threat.

“My faith is not threatened. Synod is a necessary meeting and there must be a clog in the wheel of progress, but such we must overcome”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Diocesan Bishop  has said that the Church still has a leading role to play in upholding the dignity of the nation, no matter the height of challenge.

He said those with different thought about the Church’s ability to restore the Country to its past glory are beret of supremacy of God.

The Man-of-God was of the view that since God was still in the business of salvation and doing good, that Nigeri’s on case would not be different.

To his host and the Evo Monarch,  he enjoined him to stil hold strong unto God, judging his earlier relationship with Him before now.

“You will reign in peace. You know God before now. Do not loose faith”, he said.

The cleric further prayed against any form of conspiracy against the Monarch and his kingdom.
