As countdown to the historic celebration of the first ever Igbo Youths Week in Rivers and Bayelsa States, the organizers have announced plans to confer a honorary award on Chief (Prof) Muna Stello Ebele, the Ufam of Ozalla, during the D-day.

This exciting event, themed Echika (Tomorrow is greater), is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Anzy Place, Louis Drive, Off Sani Abacha Road, GRA Phase III, Port Harcourt.

A statement jointly signed by the Youth President, Engr. Okpara Maurice Ugochukwu and Secretary, Ozomenena-Emetuche Justina said the event aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements of outstanding Igbo individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and the nation at large.

Chief Prof Muna Stello Ebele, a renowned multi-skilled professional and philanthropist, is one of the honorees selected for her exceptional accomplishments in various fields, including education, engineering, and community development.

According to the statement, Muna’s dedication to knowledge acquisition, innovative solutions, and selfless service to humanity makes her a worthy recipient of the award.

“Muna’s achievements are a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of the Igbo people,” the statement declared, adding, “We are proud to recognize her contributions and inspire others to follow in her footsteps.”

The award ceremony will be a highlight of the Igbo Youths Week celebration, which promises to be a memorable event showcasing Igbo culture, music, and art.

Chief Prof Muna Stello Ebele has expressed her gratitude to the organizers and looks forward to receiving the award, saying, “This recognition is not just an honor to me, but to the entire Igbo community. I am humbled and inspired to continue serving humanity.”
