The Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna-Iwuanyanwu has called on Imo people to make Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election bid a collective task.

The consummate legislator who made this known in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rt. Comrd Chimezie Odoenenam in Owerri, Thursday, expressed confidence that the Governor’s second term in office will ensure more democratic dividends for Imo people in the areas of social infrastructure, human capital and capacity development, through massive job creation as well as empowerment of small and medium scale enterprises for socioeconomic growth.

The veteran leader, popularly known as Mr. Capacity, owing to his record of mass empowerment, added that, Governor Hope Uzodimma is making relentless effort on the daily basis, especially with his wide range national connectivity to ensure that Imo State benefits much from all the Federal Government’s programmes.

Rt. Hon. Iwuanyanwu maintained that Imo stands to gain more from Senator Hope Uzodimma’s enormous packages both from the federal and the state levels, as the only Governor who has made an inroad into the nucleus hub of the federal government as the Chairman of South East Governors Forum and Progressive Governors’ Forum respectively.

Mr. Capacity further added that, it will be tantamount to unpatriotism for anyone insinuating how to disconnect the state from the national political power grid by voting in the opposition parties which will never be in the overall interest of the state.

The Deputy Speaker assured Imo people of the Governor’s resolve to leaving a monumental legacy of accountable stewardship for the state through qualitative projects and reformation of government institutions for effective, efficient and hitch-free operations.

He commended the Governor for his unflinching commitment in providing quality standard infrastructures and sustainable amenities for the people of the state and for remaining resolute in rendering impactful leadership services despite security sabotage by the enemies of the state, whose inordinate ambition was to make the state ungovernable, so as to capitalise on it as their election campaign manifesto.

The Deputy Speaker called on Imo youths not to allow themselves to be hoodwinked by those overbearing political charlatans into their gimmicks aimed at destroying the state, spreading falsehood to score selfish political goals as the November Gubernatorial Election draws closer.

“Together, we can unite in solidarity for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election mandate to guarantee a greater and prosperous Imo State of our collective dream”, Rt. Hon. Iwuanyanwu said.
